
About the Role
Welders are skilled professionals responsible for joining metal parts and structures using various welding techniques. This includes operating specialized equipment to fabricate, repair, and maintain metal components in compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Certification from an accredited welding program or technical school preferred.
Experience:
2-5 years of welding experience in industrial, construction, or manufacturing settings preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-core).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Knowledge of metallurgy and material compatibility for different projects.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Other Requirements:
AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent preferred.
Familiarity with welding safety standards and OSHA regulations.
Physical stamina to work in various environments (outdoors, confined spaces, elevated platforms).
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites if required.
