About the Role
Plumbers are responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, fixtures, and related equipment. This includes ensuring proper water, drainage, and gas systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, while complying with safety and building regulations.
Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or vocational training in plumbing.
Experience:
2-5 years of experience as a licensed plumber preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency in using hand and power tools such as pipe cutters, wrenches, and threaders.
Knowledge of water distribution, drainage systems, and plumbing installations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer instructions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces.
Other Requirements:
Valid state plumbing license (or ability to obtain one, depending on state regulations).
Knowledge of local and state plumbing codes.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
