About the Role
Foremen are responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of a construction crew or team, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. They act as a liaison between workers and management, providing guidance, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress on-site.
Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Certification or vocational training in construction, engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in construction or a related trade, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members and stakeholders.
Other Requirements:
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
Physical ability to work outdoors, in various weather conditions, and handle manual labor as needed.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends to meet project deadlines.
