About the Role
Installs and maintains electrical systems in buildings and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Install wiring, lighting, and electrical control systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program.
Experience: Minimum 4 years of on-the-job training as a journeyman electrician.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and wiring.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Proficiency with tools like voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and cable testers.
Other Requirements:
State-issued electrician license.
Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
